Four big supermarkets – Lidl, Aldi, Tesco and Sainsbury’s – have announced that they are massively reducing the price of their Christmas veggies from next week.

From 19th December you’ll be able to get lots of festive seasonal produce for just 15p in Aldi stores, and 19p in Lidl.

Sainsbury’s is matching Aldi –with prices also starting at 15p. Tesco are also offering a 15p secetion with a clubcard.

Aldi has said it will drop the price of its “Super Six’ veggies from the 19th December.

What does this mean for you?

In Aldi you’ll be able to grab a 2kg bag of potatoes, a 500g bag of parsnips and 1kg bag of carrots all for 15p each.  You’ll also be able to get 500g of sprouts, red or white cabbage and a single swede for the same price. That’s all your Christmas veg sorted for under a £1!

Sainsbury’s are offering white potatoes to those with a Nectar card at 15p (a 2KG bag) and the rest for 19p. They are also offering the entire Christmas dinner for six for under £20 – a nectar card is free to sign up so it makes it worthwhile.

So, get to the supermarket on Monday and get your veggies for a bargain price.
